Wire Wool, is there a certain type?

Sounds more dangerous than I first thought. A fire blanket poncho sounds like it's needed

Thanks. He does look a bit like him, a few years his senior and with a little more hair, just a little mind :D

Portrait of a fellow photographer. Taken with a sb-28 flash and a very cheap shot through umbrella. Z8 and 24-70mm

Wire Wool, is there a certain type?

@Petrochemist We were going to try it on a underpass. With the information from yourself and others, we'll go back and try again. Great images by the way.

Wire Wool, is there a certain type?

A few friends tried lighting wire wool and spinning it last night, for some creative photographs. Unfortunately is wouldn't seem to light. I had a gas burner blow torch type thing to light it, so plenty of heat and fire. We tried it tightly packed and loosely, but no joy. I joked that it was...

The price increase on CFexpress Cards WOW!!!

I had been eyeing the Delkin Black 512GB when it was £150 ish, wished I'd have got it, that price is a pipe dream now. Luckily I upgraded my PC last year before everything rocketed in price. I bought Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2X32GB) DDR5 6000MHz for £157, it's now £972. I've got a WD 8TB SN850X...

I was using mine today, it was a bit long for what I was at but the quality out of it is fantastic.

I use it for Macro and it's very good, it's good for portraits too, much better than the old F-mount version. As Peter has said, the lack of teleconverter compatibility is a poor design choice, but probably it's only draw back. I could see a MkII version down the line, that allows teleconverters.

Decent price considering, but I think I paid £1800 for the MkI version close to release and it can be had for £1479 new from e-infin now. A £800 of difference between the MkI & MkII is quite a step. Although the MkI is an excellent lens, I rarely use my 70-200mm f/2.8 S so it'll probably be with...

The 70-200mm Z Mk1 is a fantastic lens. It's going to be a great lens to pick up with the MkII release. I don't use the 70-200mm that often, so i'll not be upgrading. It'll take a good comparison video to see if the premium for the MkII is worth it. The Arca implementation looks overly...

No gaps as two lenses covers 24-600mm range. You could go longer, lighter or faster, but you're pretty much covered range wise.

The benefit of the Z8 in DX is you'll still have 1/32000 shutter, joystick for focus points, possibly better subject detection than in FX mode as it has less of the sensor to read, good battery and ibis. I bought the Z50II as I needed a second body and it was cheap but capable.
