Do you think it's possible to be a great Landscape Photographer and a Youtuber?

I'm not really interested in content creation or social media hits and I'm not a great landscape photographer. I kind of agree with the OP in that if you are doing a shoot with fast changing light, paticularly at dawn for example you probably need to pay attention to what's happening. But...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I've paid no attention to kit for a couple of years and just thought I'd like to upgrade my X100S to either a V or an X Pro 2 or 3. WTF has happened? The X100V seems to be out of stock everywhere and XP2's are pretty thin on the gound. Is this a temporary thing or what?

Women in Photography Clubs and Forums?

My club has quite a few women members, I'm not sure of the actual ratio I'd guess 25-35%. At least 2 are on the committee, 2 possibly 3 are/were FRPS. There's even some members that are under 40! Though the majority are retired, sadly I'm not. :( As to why women don't partake as often as...

    Predicting a calm river?

From my experiences on the Plym, Tavy and Tamar I think high tide at dawn is best.

    The General Drone-Related Thread

Taking advantage of some offers I've bought an Air 2S fly more, it's due tomorrow. Currys & Jessops are selling them for £999 at the moment. Luckily I didn't buy it the day before from Clifton! I'm also in the process of doing the A2 CoC with AUV Hub.

Lake District. The Best Area To Stay ?

Personally I like Keswick and then Ambleside if you want a town base depending on where you want to go. Windermere is too far out from the hills for me. Everywhere will be overcrowded.

    Help with fire work setting

I'm by no means an expert but in general shoot as if it's daylight not night but with a longer exposure to get the streaks. This is because the fireworks are bright and you usually want the sky to stay dark so there's no need for high ISO and wide open aperture. I found 2.5-4 secs seems to...

Are you a member of a local camera club?

I'm in one. Been to two. Friendly people and you learn the odd thing or two. I like the speakers, they usually tend to be pretty good. I'm not so fussed about the comps, the judges tend to irritate.

Wistman's Wood Too Popular for its Own Good

It's been extremely popular for a while. Apologies that it's the Wail. Lockdown visitors ruin one of Britain's ancient forests...

    LPOTY 2020

Having not entered before this was my biggest quandary. The gumpf all said about minimal editing apart from own view, but looking at previous years entries for quite a few that appeared to be far from the case. It seems a lot of people have been shortlisted but then it's human nature that...

    Beginner: LR/PS or Darkroom/GIMP

If you haven't started using Lightroom why not download Darktable and see how you get on with it? As you are new to both it's not like you will keep comparing and saying what you're missing/what's different, etc. If you get along with it you save the money. If you don't get along with it then...

    LPOTY 2020

I've had 4 shortlisted in 3 categories. Never entered before, so picked 20 old shots that I actually liked. I'm pretty chuffed with that, if I enter again I'd go with less as when I started being critical it was a lot harder to choose than I thought it would be.

    Nice bargain..

I've got what I think is a Hadley and a 445. Bought both 2nd hand on fleabay. I don't think I would pay full price for one but second hand they are well worth the money.

Which is it? A leading question.

    Of course it does.

Which is it? A leading question.

If you look in the Oxford dictionary it is lead-in. "an introduction or preamble which allows one to move smoothly on to the next part of something." Leading means something different - basically to be in front, lead.
