I once had some Phottix batteries for a Canon 350 which performed just as well as the genuine Canon ones, enjoy the safari, we did it in 2012 and loved every minute.

Could not find disc that came with camera so have downloaded appropriate Canon software and can now open and work with raw files, so will see how I get on before deciding whether to try anything different. Thanks for the help

Sorry Andrew, being a long day, that should have read photoshop cs3. I will dig out the software disc and see where we go from there Never really bothered with a lot of processing so I am very green on the whole subject

Hi, for the first time I have set the 70D on the raw + jpeg setting and would like to have a try at a bit of processing using the raw files. I only have CR2 installed, what do I need to open and work with the files.

That sounds like a decent plan, carry them but only fit if deemed neccesary :thumbs:

100% for protection reasons, i do sometimes wonder about the effects they may have on image quality :thinking:

Oh well in that case might give one a try. I already have a Hoya Pro-digital in the same size i require, so i will be able to compare the two side by side :thumbs:

Anyone tried Kenko uv filters,the price is very tempting but are they any good :shrug:

Its make your mind up time,do i need f/2.8 or would the wider range of the Sigma be of more use to me, i think the latter wins if i am honest with myself. andyred if i can get the quality results you have acheived with your 10-20 i would be a happy bunny,and by the way your mates a bloody good...

Being looking at the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX AF 11-16mm f/2.8, can anyone give me thumbs up or down compared to the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Ye had a look but dont really want to spend £1000 plus to get 100mm extra over my 70-200

P.S if i come back with some shots anywhere near as good as the ones posted above i will be a very happy(but skint) bunny.

Thanks for all the replies, gotta say there doesnt seem to be a lot in it as far as IQ goes but my gut feeling is to go for the Canon. Think it may be something to do with 1. how impressed i am with my existing L lens and hoping that the 100-400L can come up to the same standard 2. it seems...
