Are you sure its not his camera body??? ERR99 Has he used IS before?? as his battery could be low?.........Has he tried it on a different body?.....no point in spending your money before doing some testing!!! By the way I have used Lehmans with no problems in the past.
17-40L here as well.........I use it on the same camera and its great!!........Hope you enjoy the 1D...I upgraded from a 20D and have never looked back.....
MacBook Pro is the way to go!!! The MacBook has an integrated 64mg video card where as the Pro has a video card with 256mg on it. I use it with a second monitor. I moved from a windows PC and it just works............says it all really
Hi I have taken shots of dog agility and my suggestion would be to stick it on AV and as said as far open as it will go....set the AF to AI servo and high speed on drive..pre focus on the far edge of the tunnel and then half press the shutter button as you anticipate the dog to emerge..the pan...

You will need to know the sites FTP details or use the file upload software within CPanel......if you go the FTP way you will need some software installing on your computer.....or you can use the built in file upload software within jalbum just edit the site details.
I am unable to get view source to work but if you go file - save as and save the website to your computer the images are then saved in the folder as jpg's and quite a nice quality they are to!!! I would put one here but that might be a bit wrong....
Hello and welcome...I have both the 2x and the 70-200IS F2.8 and I have found the IQ is poor when these 2 are used together. I shot indoor basketball and the 70-200 is a fantasic lens for this. Hope this helps.
I have it on my EOS 5 with the VG10 grip attached to it. My son has started to use it now. I wear glasses and was able to use the eye control with no problems...I wish Canon had used it on some of the newer cameras.
Edale and Mam Tor would give you some very good lanscape shot. Hope is well situated and will have a couple of pubs that should do B&B. Heathersage is very nice with Stanage Edge just up the road which is a big cliff that is freaquented by rock climbers
