    I have one ...It's not bad! You can get genuine one's on eBay or Ali Express. Just make sure it says 'SJACAM' in the description.

    £500 to spend on DSLR...

    If you are serious about taking decent pictures - Buy a Canon 40D - Should easily be able to get a used one with kit lens for £500 or under.

    New 1000D, Crappy Pictures.

    Read or buy a guide about the 1000D and also get yourself a half decent filter. 'Auto' doesn't always give the best picture IMO. You could also pop into a Jessops and they might help you set it up. My local jessops offered to do that for me, even though I bought my camera elsewhere.

    I AM JEALOUS!! - lol You have bought the MUTS NUTS. Congrats! The 400D is like a toy compared to the 5D... I went from a 400D to a 50D and I will never look back.
