    SB-900 user here too... one thing that was mentioned already. The flash does not overheat.. it protects itself BEFORE overheating :) yes, it takes a few minutes to cool down but if you do a burst of shots and then a minute nothing because you need to walk somewhere etc. I would not worry about...

    I agree with liightroom and, if you have a mac, aperture 3 . But as a photoshop alternative that iss,ight,y better than elements IMHO, pixelmator....i use it and i fell in love with the ui and the ease of use...

    Actually,while software can compensate for some exposure, i have found that exposing wi an nd or nd grad give better results in any case. Though whay you can do to create some sort of effect like a 10 stop on a photo is to create a black layer in photoshop and use the overlay to adjust. IMHO...

I am an amateur and the d700 is stellar but i did want video. personally I never too shots that were THAT dependent on full frame. i do very little super ultra wide and the crop sensor gives me longer reach. I decided i would rather go for excellent glass and see about the camera...
