Have you guys found using 3rd party batteries that all functions work correctly? I've read that the high speed shutter setting doesn't work sometimes on the R6.

Agreed on this. Dont expect anything other than poor results with a 2x stuck on a 100-400. I too have the 100-400 with a 1.4x and the results are hit and miss at best. MAT

Hi can anyone recommend a lens to the quality and price of the Canon EF-S 17-85mm? My 17-85 has developed the dreaded ribbon cable fault so i dont really want to buy another or get it fixed knowing that the problem could arise again in the future. Cheers. Mat.

!/800? blimey thats way too high a shutter speed. The cars/bikes will just look like they're stationary. Thats fine for headon shots but not for panning. Try 1/320 or lower to ensure that there is some movement in the shot. But remember the slower the shutter speed the more prone you'll be to...
