No, I havent been able to do that. The camera (bought from Trip Man) came with a Duracell 625A fitted but checking the quoted power output I noted that it was 1.5 volts whilst the original, now obsolete, battery was 1.3V. I have fitted a Wein cell which is quoted as being 1.3V so I am hoping...

I use a Hoya HMC Y-52 - I am pretty sure that its multi-coated.

Thats what I was thinking, though with a filter fitted its a different matter of course.........

I hadnt thought of that. Im a bit reluctant to modify the case as I fear that I am likely to make a mess of it! Wonder if anyone produces custom made ER cases? Unlikely I guess.

Ah, I see! Ive seen pictures of those and handnt realised that the cut outs are for rangefinders.

To add: I had thought about the battery drain issue and the ER case being a useful way to reduce this - obviously something not possible with a hood. I am so conditioned to using a hood that a camera doesnt seem right without one. Perhaps its just a case of recalibrating my thinking!
