sadly no Acros simulation, maybe some other tiny bits are left for the E2S.

it should be basically the same. However, you can just look up the manual of the E2S.

it's basically the same as the T10, so the manual for it (or Rico's book) will do just fine for all the details. By the way - the 4 way dial can be set to custom options, I've made mine to choose the focus group, face detection and to select af point. I kinda hope that when shooting portraits I...

just installed the firmware, face detect with eye detection works great, can't say if the AF is faster with the 56/1.2, not big of a difference I guess, the new menu system is nice. My E2 turned into a T10, I'm definitely touching myself tonight! :fuji:

um, I think there is a build in feature, you tell it how many photos to take and the interval of time between them.

I believe the refresh rate of the evf in E1 is much slower, don't know if they updated it or not. Don't forget the wifi option, and as previously mentioned - updated sensor and processor. I've dealt with M1, which has pretty much the same internals as E1 (correct me if I'm wrong) and it's oh so...

it has a faster processor, better evf, updated sensor, how is it not "that much better"? ;)

both are behind the curve, get an E2, much faster and will be updated once more in autumn.

got the 35 for a weekend and I'm definitely keeping it. Having the kit lens, which is good by itself, is simply not enough. I am not sure if I'll part with it, as it will be much more convinient for traveling light, but it will definitely stay home during workdays or weekends. The separation of...

    Focus mode for events

Don't know about the Nikon but once you have autofocused, with the shutter half-pressed, you can do additional adjustments with the manual focus ring on Fujis. So for me - Manual focus, AF-L button for a single point focus and make the additional focus changes with the ring. Alternatively, you...

the thing is that most of my "keeper" photos are portaits above 35mm on the kit lens. The way I see it - you can easily zoom with your feet or just crop to 55m, and if you don't used the 18-55 range, that good is the kit lens for? However, it will be nice if you need to get the bigger picture...

to the guys with 18-55 and 35/1.4: Do you ever find yourself reaching for the kit lens? I'm waiting for a 35 and presume that I will get rid of the zoom, however, on trips and vacations I might miss it. Would you part with it or do you find it useful not to switch primes all the time during a...
