    Buying tyres online

That's true. However a local tyre firm in my area charge £10inc per corner so for myself it works out cheaper. It's probably due the size as well. A friend of mine is looking for some 16" tyres and for him there's hardly anything in going supply and fit.

    Need a New Bag Guys!

Selling it along with all my DSLR gear. Was thinking I'd be getting a Fuji XE-2, but opting now for a X100S. It's a great bag and if I had the need for it, it would definitely be staying!

    Travel tripod

I've got a Giottos Vitruvian (aluminium model). Holds my 550D with 70-200 F4 IS fine. There's a hook on the tripod as well, which I have used sometimes to aid the tripod being a bit more sturdy. The ball head can be changed should need be. I'm actually selling mine so if you want any pictures or...

    CSC camera advice

This is exactly what I'd like to achieve. Using my camera more so in any situation. TVRTim - tbh as of yet I haven't looked at any other lens, but I will do. Reason for singling out the 35mm is because it would be the closet to my current 28mm 1.8 I have, which is my most often used lens.

    Travelling with just a prime?

X100 - I'm heading to San Francisco, LA, Vegas and San Diego. Might be making a trip to Tijuana but that'll be decided whilst I'm out there.

    Travelling with just a prime?

Thanks for the replies. The size and weight is what is off putting to myself when travelling with multiple lenses (or just a zoom). The whole point of me making the switch from DSLR to CSC is just that, the size and weight. With regards to a prime, it's the lens that was on my DSLR the most the...

itsdavedotnet - do you use a 35 or 85 on a APS-C or FF body?

    CSC camera advice

Nod - due to the lens that stays on my DSLR 99% of the time I'm thinking I may go with getting a body and prime (probably something like a 35mm). I have read though very positive opinions regarding the standard kit lens.

    Travelling with just a prime?

Before I started this thread I near enough sold on the idea due to my past experience and also what lens stays mostly on my DSLR (28mm 1.8). However reading through the post being made it's just confirmed it. Something like a 35mm on a CSC will be similar to what I currently have just without...

    Travelling with just a prime?

Catching Salmon - thanks for your reply. I'm seriously considering going with a prime option (possibly 35mm) to go with my future CSC purchase.
