Thanx for the replies and i'll try and respond to all or most of the comments in one go.... I've taken shots with & without the UV and cant see any difference in IQ so just leave it on for protection which paid dividends recently when i went a**e over tit in the mud , the way i saved the gear...

I've just picked up a new CPL filter , I already have a UV on the lens for protection so the question is....... is it best to remove the UV when using the CPL or leve it on , if its leave it on then is it best before or after the CPL. Cheers Steve

Any issues with the "plastic" body though , i must say some of the pics ive seen it certainly seem impressive but then again so are some from the Siggy which comes with a nice case and tripod mount and has that extra bit of reach... But then again i love the 70-300 L IS USM ive already got and...

I can't make up my mind which one to choose , which would you go for ?? Canon 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM or the Sigma F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Read about and looked at cracking pics of both , i keep moving from one to the other , so over to you lot for some ideas. Cheers Steve
