Well I have both.. well 50mm 1.8d.. and to buck the trend I prefer the 50... No infact if they made a 42.5mm I would go with that.. :)

Hello, Any body else had a abnormally high Flickr hit today.... Mine gets 0-1 if I'm lucky in a day.... But today so far had 248 :eek: Very strange, as the most viewed is one of the worst images to date.. :cuckoo:

I thought I was carefull when changing lenses.. The the other week got a SWA lens and started shotting at apetures greater than f11. and I noticed a few bits of dust, so read up a bit, went outside set the lens to f22 and shot a clear blue sky.. :eek: Click for a larger view and try...

You made the right choice, there will be another bargin along at some point. You could allways switch to nikon ;)

As others have said it is a tad heavy, i'm just getting used to hand holding it. I like mine alot, very good value and I have found very acceptable pic quality wide open. :)

My next lens and last for a while will be one of these.. So some more reviews would be nice. I had my mind set on the Tokina AF 11-16mm or the Nikkor.. :)

Hello, Yeah sorry all were hand held with VR on, autofocus, single shoot and spot metering. The difference in light is due to the rare occurrence that the sun come out and shines through the window :) All were taken withinn a 20 sec period, same aperture, iso and speed
