Hi guys and girls, Noticed theres a lot of old canon FD glass on ebay and wondered how goodd it is with a modern dslr? I understand you have to buy an adapter to convert the fitting, but are the results still good? Any feedback would be most appreciated!

The 50mm f1.8 (nifty fifty) will be by far the best choice for you. A nice focal length and a lens that will really blur out the background to create excellent bokeh. Make sure ur cam is set to aperture priority mode and set it to f1.8. Happy snapping!

Just checked out the price for the 100-400mm canon and it seems to be double my price range. I have a entry level tamron 70-300 but want a better quality bit of glass to improve pics

Isn't the VC version an improvement?! Has it made it that much difference? On amazon the non VC is only £295 I think which is a great buy!
