I had a hair visable in the view finder on my old 50d. The hair was on the focus screen and was easily removed with a rocket blower. But it looked like it was inside the eye piece.

Dell ultra sharps are lovely screens I have the 27" model and i'm very happy with it. The 30" ultra wides do look very tempting.

Canon 17-55 f2.8 is a great all round lens you won't go wrong with one. It's a good match with the 80d.

We have been the last two years, short lenses with large apertures are best. Very little day light and very cold -22 was chilly. Northern lights can be illusive. Its a great place enjoy, ski and sledge.tripod, extra batteries, hand warmers, and zip bags would be more help than a long lens.

On a crop sensor the canon 17-55 f2.8 is a great walkabout lens not too heavy, great image quality, fast ish lens. the 24-70 on a crop sensor is not very wide. You might still need a 10-20 wide angle which you could pop in your coat pocket so save on hand luggage weight. The 15-85 gets good...

7D mkii may only have 2mp but the better auto focus system, improved high iso performance and faster FPS make the 7D mkii a large step up from the 600d.

Sorry to gate crash what is the warranty like with E infinity anyone had any issues? is it handled in the uk or back in china?

7d mkii would be a good choice. what lens are you thinking of using? I think the 7d mkii or 1dmkiv would be better choices than the other body's you have mentioned and worth the extra outlay.

I think a prime would be hard work as I'm not that able to pick where I want to stand and I think with no zoom I will miss lots of shots. I will try f5.6-6.3 with my 70-200 and see if it cause me any issues. bright days I guess it will be fine some of the dull winter matches I guess might be...
