That was the intention! I think as with any hobby there is a lot to learn when starting and I was trying to make things a little simpler by making the simple mistakes obvious and helping people hopefully improve faster than they would otherwise!

Someone suggested earlier but I wouldn't recommend using a vacuum cleaner anywhere near the graphics card, vacuums generate static which is generally best avoided round electronics!

I'm considering getting an SSD too, trying to put it off as long as possible though as the price really seems to be dropping just now. Figure I could get double the size in a few months for a similar price. I suppose that sums up computing and electronics in general though!

Definitely the Tamron, had my hands on both lenses and much prefer Tamron (which I now own)! The VC is a life-saver too, very effective when you either can't or don't want to use a tripod!
