Nikon 24-120 f/4 VR owners opinions

I now have owned the 24-120 F/4 a couple of weeks and it's very good indeed! Awesome to have that VR, means I can shoot very low shutter speeds without having to use tripod. In the studio it's superb! Using F/8-F/11 all the time in the studio means I avoid the flaws it might have.

Do u bring your camera to work?

Yes, I do. But I work in a photo studio as a photographer so would be kinda sad if I didn't. :/

D800 vs D40 image size comparison

So my very first DSLR was a Nikon D40, which had 6.1 Megapixels. Not bad for being back then. My newest camera is a D800 which has 36.3 Megapixels, which is insane for a 35mm digital camera. I recently tested out my D40 again and found the files to be supersmall. That's why I wanted to compare...

    Size comparison.. D700, D4, D800, D7000 (Gripped)

Indeed it is, much more "beefier". Almost 1 cm wider and deeper than the D800.

    Size comparison.. D700, D4, D800, D7000 (Gripped)

So I was corious to see how these cameras compare in size with grip on, didn't find it anywhere else so made one myself. Hope more people can find use of this.

    Shocked.. Tamron (VERY) overpriced.

No it was actually in FotoVideo, but the prices are mostly the same all over. Well, I know that Japanphoto has opened a "megastore" in bogstadveien, and Japanphoto is ok. But if you live in Oslo though, there is only one camera shop for you! FotoVideo is an excellent shop, the staff have lots...

    Shocked.. Tamron (VERY) overpriced.

I'm not interested in buying the tamron anyways. I just don't like their pricing strategy. No one with a brain will buy this over the $150 more expensive Nikon. The difference in USA is already huge between these lenses, but in Norway it's not. Strange.

    Shocked.. Tamron (VERY) overpriced.

So I was just checking some prices on a Norwegian photo side and was going to compare 70-200 prices. The Nikon VRII is priced about $2850 which is fair, but then I saw the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 Di SP VC USD which is priced at a ridiculous $2690.. How can the price difference between these two only...

    Shoulder bag help needed

I would highly reccomend the Think Tank Retrospective series, they are really comfy to walk around with. They don't look like camerabags either (So it would be easier to trick the thieves). Also they have loads of space and are very high quality. I have owned the Retrospective 30, which is very...

Nikon 24-120 f/4 VR owners opinions

Thank you for giving your opinion! :) Makes me want this lens even more. Thank you for the link :) Thank you for your opinion, I bet the 24-120 3.5-5.6 is a good lens for your use. But with all due respect, you own this lens on a DX-body. Which means you only use the middle part of the...

Nikon 24-120 f/4 VR owners opinions

So I'm looking into the 24-120 f/4 VR, but I have read that people have some mixed feelings about that lens. Most people who give it a hard time don't own it though, and most people who do own it think it's a good lens. So my question is if there is any owners of that lens here (FX body...

Welding glass, how do you attach yours?

Hmm.. Buy a ND400 filter seems like the simplest way.
