I now have owned the 24-120 F/4 a couple of weeks and it's very good indeed! Awesome to have that VR, means I can shoot very low shutter speeds without having to use tripod. In the studio it's superb! Using F/8-F/11 all the time in the studio means I avoid the flaws it might have.

So my very first DSLR was a Nikon D40, which had 6.1 Megapixels. Not bad for being back then. My newest camera is a D800 which has 36.3 Megapixels, which is insane for a 35mm digital camera. I recently tested out my D40 again and found the files to be supersmall. That's why I wanted to compare...

Indeed it is, much more "beefier". Almost 1 cm wider and deeper than the D800.

So I was corious to see how these cameras compare in size with grip on, didn't find it anywhere else so made one myself. Hope more people can find use of this. :thumbs:

I'm not interested in buying the tamron anyways. I just don't like their pricing strategy. No one with a brain will buy this over the $150 more expensive Nikon. The difference in USA is already huge between these lenses, but in Norway it's not. Strange.
