Having been away for a few years from the forum and selling all my gear due to not using it,
I've now got the mojo back and got a Nikon d4 with less than 44k for a good price recently
I've gone for a 24-70 and 70-200mm for the moment
I've really no interest in the new lightweight systems

You do really need a 150-600mm to appreciate wildlife images, a 300mm may do but it really needs a 1.4tc with it.
I'd save a bit more and get a 150-600 of either tamron / Sigma, perfectly capable lenses for amateur use ... and you will appreciate the longer reach

Give them a chance David, i don't know the size of the work force but i bet it's not large and if someone's ill etc...takes me long enough to just package stuff, never mind check, catalogue etc..
No windows, ( image was in an album for years under cellophane, obviously it's marked the paper) we were on the beach and my brother was jumping off the promenade wall.
He did survive, although it wouldn't surprise me if has been abducted on occasion ..lol
My b.i.l just posted this old pic from way back in the 80's that either me or the wife took.
This is how it came back from the developers, we were neither into photography back then apart from family shots.
I'm curious as to whether the 'ufo glitch' was a normal mark on film pics?

Thanks all, i guess the 35mm will do for a wee while but i will pick up a 17-55mm in time and that should do me.
I've certainly found that there's no point in me spending a lot on smaller focal lengths , the 200-500 mm is the one in constant use.
Any thoughts on either a 17-55 or 16-80mm or other come to it for this body?
I've sold off a lot of gear and kept my d500 and 200-500mm as that's what i use but for walkabout / general family stuff?
I do have the 35mm dx and can't seem to see past the nikon lenses above...
