    Nikon SLR help

I'm going to go for it I think - just read a stack of posts over on flickr discussing the two, with the general concensus being that they are pretty similar bar the AI/AIS having a tad better contrast at times. That said, I found this set by someone using the older version and I am very...

Yeah I've just read that too, the version I have seen is actually the one between the first AI model and that one - the f22 version, but still 9/7 design before they moved to 9/9. It's multicoated too. The lens comes with a hood too.

Also, am I right in thinking stopped down metering affects the light metre on the F3? As in you can only meter with the DOF button pressed down, otherwise I'm good to go if I meter off camera.

Ah, I see. But on lens quality, would the pre AI ones perform in and around the later AI/AIS models? I think I can put up with that if I am not skimping on quality, massively.

I want to upgrade my pc

I'd have to agree that eBuyer seem to win on cost, but if you live near Scan (as i do) paying that little extra to have the comfort of being able to take it in etc could be worth it. That said I haven't bought from them in the past few months, purely due to me having no money!

    Opinion on Laptop

That looks a decent buy. New processor (plus a good speed), decent amount of ram, big screen, good name too.

    Your opinion on college course?

Hwo come you quit the photography BTEC? I'm currently in my 2nd year, and whilst it has its shortcomings (the endless research projects; historial timelines, etc) I've found it to be good. That said, if Uni is much a repeat of this I can see myself jacking that in to stave of the cost.

Focus on Imaging - Bargain's to be had ?

I was very dissapointed last year on the bargains front. My tutor bulled it up so much and when we got there, nothing was going for any decent price!

Petrol. It lessons the blow of filling the tank up full for sure, for about 10 seconds that is. That and Indian food. Any kind, yum.
