Thanks for the advice guys i guess im just being picky and need more time to get used to my new gear. Cheers more practice needed.

Always shoot in RAW and only ever make minor tweaks in PS with contrast etc.. Then USM save as JPEG for then resize and USM for the smaller size. I think i'm may just leave it for now and get a bit more practice with it.

Thanks for the replies ive definatley checked that auto ISO isnt on so thats not a problem maybe im just expecting to much, what with the new lens and new camera maybe i am just rusty.

I have had my 7Dmk2 since December and it had been fine i used it on holiday in the US and got some good results. However i shoot a lot of airshows and they have just kicked off so i used the 7Dmk2 in anger at my first event, i used the Canon 100-400 at the first event in May and the results...
