Sources of film, aka where to buy!

I did mean Nik and Trick earlier. I plan to send the special film back to them to develop it in this case as they know what they're doing with it.

Shooting cameras with fixed speed and aperture

Totally right, but I'm impatient and I'd run out of HP5 so the only 120 I had lying around was the Ektar :)

Shooting cameras with fixed speed and aperture

I've put a roll of Ektar 100 in it. Spring didn't look great but after oiling I don't think it's far off the quoted 1\30 sec.

Holga, Toy, Charity Shop, Car Boot and other Bargains (film only please)

This is not looking good for my bank balance.

Sources of film, aka where to buy!

I just ordered some film and dev chemicals from Nik and Flick, they do regular film as well as some rare ones they've produced themselves. Can't wait to try out the Kodak Vision 50 (made from motion picture film). Order turned up very quickly.

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

So.... I may have been on Ebay again. I was aware of the condition of these before I bought them, took a gamble as they were all very cheap. Barnet Ensign Ful-Vue (1946). Turned up in a bit of a state stuck closed with non-working shutter and the red plastic from the back window had fallen into...

Shooting cameras with fixed speed and aperture

So is film speed not a big issue? I have several between 25 and 400.

    First hotshoe flash choice

Money wise, it seems this comes down to about £40 extra for hss, and I could get the cheaped one without hss and then add one with it at a later date.

    Would you have stopped?

I havent read all the replies so this may have already been said. I find it interesting that people in general when asked say it's bad for people to take pictures of accidents, but when they get home after they expect to be able to read about it or see what happened on tv. Theres also the fact...

    First hotshoe flash choice

Budget is ideally up to £100, the YN568EX looks good and has hss. Any specific reason for having 2 other than just as a backup?

    First hotshoe flash choice

Hi, I'm looking for a reasonable hotshoe flash for my Canon 1100d, as a few times recently I've been in a situation where it would been very handy to have one, and the built in flash was either too harsh (I know there are diffusers available for it) or not up to the job. I've never really...

    A little challenge? 36EXP project.

Stick me down if you're still adding people. I have a few bay bargains turning up in the next few days (Ensign Ful Vue,35rc, Agfa Super Silette), so may choose a theme to use for the test roll from one of them, then there's the added uncertainty of what's going to come out being an untested...

Good news ... bad news ... etc.

Totally this, every time I go out somewhere.

Shooting cameras with fixed speed and aperture

I've seen a few very old cameras recently that I liked the look of but had a fixed aperture and either fixed speed or only 2 to chose from. Hwoever some people do seem to get decent shots out of them from what I've seen so is it just that the settings are optimised for a certain film speed in...

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

Not sure about seals. We got chatting about why I was looking for another folder and he offered to sort the Ikonta for me. I want to run a film through it first though and get a general idea of what the images are like.
