    Beginner Fake (?) Sony SDHC I Card 32GB @94MB/S

Hi all, I wanted to buy a few SD cards from ebay but knowing it to be rife with counterfeits, decided to buy use - My theory was that I might find a fellow photographer who was having a de-clutter and thus in for a better chance at the card being genuine. Anyway, I found the card pictured below...

    Walking boots...

Hi, I'm quite into hill and mountain walking and eventually invested in a pair of Meindl Burma Pro after years of using my old combat boots. They were quite pricey but definitely, definitely worth it if you plan to walk on a regular basis. I don't think I'll be buying another pair of boots...

    Beginner HOYA filter question, D5300

Hi, This is the 'filter' (?) which I've currently got on one of my lenses to try and keep the dirt and bay... is this a ND one or bin liner ballast?

    Beginner HOYA filter question, D5300

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Most of my photographs will be taken outside so I want to try and protect my lens the best I can from grit and the like. However, as I'm adding another layer of glass, I can appreciate how it might reduce image quality a little. I have a lens hood which came with a...

    Beginner HOYA filter question, D5300

Hi, Bit of a newbie here I'm afraid... ND are 'neutral density' filters, right? If so, are the 'sunlight' or clear ones classed as ND? I think I might already have a gradient filter which came with another (clear) one which I bought off eBay... I haven't a clue where/when I would use it but...

    Beginner HOYA filter question, D5300

Hi, Many thanks for your reply. Well it seems like I've probably got all I need for now then... clear filters to protect my lenses and a polarised filter to have a play with! Cheers, Sam

    Beginner HOYA filter question, D5300

Hi all, I bought a few second-hand 52mm Hoya filters for my D5300 recently and whilst I use clear filters to protect my lens glass, I was wondering about the others... is there a need for polarising, coloured and/or gradient filters if you take RAW and process with Adobe Lightroom anyway...

South-West England Lydney, Gloucestershire - Mid feb

Hi, The Devil's Chapel nr. Bream is amazingly creepy and great to photograph. Devil's Chapel is in heavy Endor-like woodland and refers to a load of ancient (Roman?) open and surface iron-ore mines (known as scowles) and is infamous amongst the locals for witchcraft and other creepy stuff. No...

    Yashica T4 test pictures

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I have a box load of expired (sealed boxes) AFGA film somewhere but you're right - I think it's best to try it with a fresh film. I had read somewhere not to pay too much attention to the expiry dates on film but I don't know how sound that advice is... I guess...

    Yashica T4 test pictures

Hi all, I'm pretty new to photography and whilst I think I prefer digital, I saw a 'Yashica T4' for sale at a local charity for a couple of quid and decided to buy it for a bit of a play. I can't remember the last time I used a film camera so I'm quite looking forward to going out snapping with...
