Can it be done been speaking to a friend who is a canon nut and he mentioned bracketing. Can this be done on the nikons?

Unsure if this is the correct place for this question Anybody got any recommend any good places in Nottingham to get some good practise shots? I'm after good locations for car pictures and also nice countryside pictures I live near south well area if that helps.

Just found the d3100 for £429 think I will get that

But as a comparison with each camera statistics is the nikon worth a extra £100

I'm currently pulling my hair out trying to choose a camera, I was told that nikon and canon are the Market leaders etc so obviously my choice is between them. Is it worth justifying a extra £100 for the nikon for a newbie to dslr's or will a canon do? Also Sony A390 what are these like...
