Canon 55-250 IS or Sigma 70-300 APO Macro?

the wide end is the most important to me as most of the shots i take with the kit lens are at 18mm. i can't make my mind up between the sigma 17-70mm and the tamron 17-50mm both seem to get really good reviews and seem a good upgrade from the kit lens . is either of the lens's better at the...- talisker
