    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

I thought I would share some images I have taken with my EM-5. As a life long Canon user, I was drawn to the EM-5 in May 2014 after trying one in a local store. The size/ weight of the camera and the IQ are great. But the real added bonuses for me have been Live Time and a touch screen features...

Canon lens dilemma - Telephoto for wildlife, advice needed!

Thanks :) See above posts re. renting. I would also constantly worry having a rented lens (damage, insurance...) I'm seriously considering the 70-300 IS. For general wildlife I'm sure this would do - I have to be realistic, I'm not going to become an expert in wildlife photography within...

Canon lens dilemma - Telephoto for wildlife, advice needed!

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I understand the limitations and think may be the 300mm would be the most suitable compromise. Yes, I definitely will practice beforehand, I have very little use with telephoto zooms. I'm planning on a trip to London Zoo - could possibly provide some practice...

Canon lens dilemma - Telephoto for wildlife, advice needed!

Thanks for the suggestions, both tempting. Would I be right in saying that these lenses on a crop would mean the equivalent of 480mm at the longest? I'm not sure what the full itinerary is yet, just awaiting confirmation. We may not actually go on any trips to see the birdlife etc., it may...

Canon lens dilemma - Telephoto for wildlife, advice needed!

Tricky really, as I haven't done wildlife photography before it's really about having a lens just in case. My main interest is general travel photography, which I will be spoilt for choice with in PNG. However if we were to go out and see some birds of paradise it would be good to have the...

Canon lens dilemma - Telephoto for wildlife, advice needed!

Thanks for the quick reply. Are there any limitations with the 55-250? I have had a look at the classifieds here, most zoom lenses are out of my budget unfortunately.

Hi All, I need some advice. I will be heading to Papua New Guinea in September on a photography expedition with Wanderlust Travel Magazine and PNG Tourism UK. This is a competition prize from the Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year 2012...

    What 'Travel' camera?

You may want to rethink this. I have been to SE Asia a number of times and have just this week returned from a trip to Thailand and Cambodia. This was my first trip with a DSLR (all my previous trips I had taken a compact and I regret not having a DSLR for all those trips) - the photo...

Definitely Trebarwith Strand, only 10 minute drive from Tintagel. I would recommend going down for sunset, you get some great skies. Trebarwith Strand, Cornwall by Stephen Walford Photography, on Flickr Cornwall by Stephen Walford Photography, on Flickr

    wide angle lens for 7d

Another thumbs up for the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM. I have had this lens for over three years and it has been very reliable - still use it regularly on my 7D. I have quite a few images taken with the lens on my flickr page http://www.flickr.com/stephenwalford

    Anyone else use 500px?

I have just joined, not really sure what I'm doing but have added a few images... Feel free to add me. I do like the feel of the site, and the image standard seems to be a different level to flickr. http://500px.com/stephenwalford
