    Film is a lot more fun for me with the process of learning how to use old cameras, developing a roll, etc.. However I'll always rely on digital for quick turnaround (like work) as I find film a much slower process..

    The adjustment knob on the 600d seems to work fine for me without glasses, and I'm short sighted enough to wear glasses. I don't wear glasses when I'm shooting though as they sort of annoy me when I'm looking through the viewfinder.. It can be very difficult manually focusing at f1.4 sometimes...

    How much do you guys/gals budget for film rolls

    Usually just buy a couple of the Kodak or Agfa 35mm films at the Poundshop whenever I'm nearby, and buy ilford HP5+ in lots of 3 if I'm running low! I go through probably about 3 rolls a month at this rate, so maybe a tenner a month?

    If you have a light meter then using that alongside a calculator like http://www.mrpinhole.com/exposure.php?Fstop=135 seems like the most accurate way?

    I find that for the cheapest film I go to jessops (no, I don't believe it either!) and take advantage of their 3 for 2 offer that seems to be on all the time. For Ilford HP5plus I buy 3 at £6 each, which comes to £12, meaning £4 each a roll of film (36 exposures 35mm). Does anyone know any...

    My sunny 16 challenge

    I am also trying a similar experiment at the moment on a Ricoh rangefinder camera I found at the car boot which has a broken light meter; I find the sunny 16 rule rather effective, the only downside is when I'm shooting in darker conditions or indoors with different light sources and I'm stuck...
