    Talk to me about Harris/Lewis

Lewis and Harris, an empty whisky bottle every 200 yrds in the ditch by the road, a sea mist and the beaches glow, visit the old sites, industrial or neolithic. Look overhead for golden eagles.

    Losing creativity

As getting out the door seems to be the problem has nobody considered taking inspiration from still life photographers such as Edward Weston or John Blakemore or maybe reading a book about photography or a particular photographer? Indecision or lack of ideas often come from trying to work in...

Beginner fuzzy blurry images D3500 70-300 DX VR

The images are under exposed by a lot and I wonder if you are adamant that they should be un-manipulated you have maybe turned a few too many things off in your camera settings. For example I have had a look and the softness can be corrected by sharpening them and they come out as...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

You appear to have a different calculation of the number of fingers a Canon photographer has compared to a Nikon photographer. Three fingers around the front of the grip where the camera is supported by the bulge at the top, one over the top for the shutter, and one at the back on the thumb grip, and all sported on the palm of the hand? A variation could...

    Nikon Z* mirrorless

I'm using Hahnel Modus 360RT with my Z7, not expensive, perfectly good build, and it works very easily. Downside is USB charging but it does charge fairly quickly and I'm sure there are work arounds by using a separate USB charger and another battery.

Anyone else interested in the New Topographic Movement?

Thank you for getting a link in, I need one more link now to check John Davies. But the photographs of Robert Adams were political, they weren't just recording the spread of tract houses, they were against the spread of tract houses. Otherwise it's like saying the New Topographic...

Anyone else interested in the New Topographic Movement?

It's nice to see people discussing the New Topographic movement, it spawned a lot of photographers who then went off in their own directions and generally speaking I still like all of them. I came across the Topographic's when I was at college in the mid seventies just as the movement was...
