While I'm at it, what's a fair price to sell my EFS 18-55mm kit lens for? in excellent condition. Thanks for the replies.

He reckons that's a good price, I feel quite bad knocking him down further. I will go for 190 though. Surely it beats the standard 18-55 kit lens I use now, and I could sell it on when I upgrade in the future.

I haven't managed to sort myself a nice new lens for going away Monday but my brother will sell me his sigma 18-200 f3.5-6.3 DC OS, any opinions on whether this is a good purchase with the 400d and possibly 40d in the future? I had a play and like the pictures, and the zoom is great just want...

Just to add to this, I'm going to look for both a new lens s/h and keep my eyes out for a 40d, are there any other good forums/ s/h online stores?

I could get a good lens that I can use on the 400d and the 40d, any recommendations for a good all rounder? sorry if these posts sound ignorant but I am looking on the net at lenses etc but anyone recommendations are great.

I am looking to buy new lenses, two at max though. I just feel like upgrading now as I probably will later anyway, and I was hoping there would be some bargains about now (after christmas).

That site looks good for second hand. If anyone has seen anything about or can recommend any sites that would be great, I will keep my eye on the prices on ebay. Need to get something fairly soon really because it would be great to have it for traveling.

I only have the kit lens at the moment so a switch over wouldn't be an issue. Do the Canon 40/50D pop up much here in the classifieds? I don't know anything about buying second hand, but presume buying from here would be safest. I will look into them now anyway. Anymore suggestions welcome.
