    The Scan V15 has more horsepower, but I would not expect any significant difference in day to day use. HP's 1TB of storage may come in handy especially if you have lots of photos.

    The black & while look is easy on the eyes - nicely done. I found that the transition from the colorful homepage to the b/w info pages very contrasting. Maybe have the pictures on the homepage in b/w as well?

    Check your connections before you send it back, this purple/pink issue often occurs because of a poor connection.

    We don't tend to change displays too often, if your budget allows, check out the Dell dell u2713, the extra pixels from the 2560x1440 resolution will come in handy for DPP/PS.

    My OM-D has a hissing sound while turned on at idle, is this normal? I would expect the IS to only be active when the button is half-pressed.

    External Hard Drive questions

    You can try having two sets of Raid1 (Mirroring) 2x2GB. Would be wise to use mirroring to ensure that if one disk breaks down you have a backup.
