Well, it's used isn't it, that's the difference, hence the difference in price? Whether used by the princess of Sheba who treasured it, or an absolute animal - it's used. Each to their own though!

Which ever way you look at it - a new product is better than a used product (of the same model and specification of course). Maybe this doesn't apply to things like wallets or suchlike that "wear better" over time. To argue or to suggest otherwise is... surely idiocy?

Yup. so yeah, if you're buying new, juts get yourself to an Apple Store or even apple refurbished and just get it off there. You're good to rock and roll!

I'm used to the regular keyboard anyway, used it since I was 14 on m first ever family Mac! I tried the one with a weird big enter key and that just through me off. Regular size enter key all the way!

Not bad at all. If you're ever in Canada that's a good option too. What I tend to do, is buy a use Mac that's still under AppleCare. I needed a backup so got a 13" 2 TB under Apple Care Plus for another 2 years, and that cost me about £450 - got that in FL in March. And my main machine, a 2021...

hmm true, Just going off of my experience. Incorrect trade in, damaged item sent, then I had to "buy back" my exact lens at their listed price (much higher) as I wanted it back. But hey..
