    Recommend me an ultraportable

I've just got an x220 - superb. Light and as fast as you want to spec it. It will also run for as long as you want depending on what batteries you choose - up to 23 hours with the optional sheet battery fitted. There's a matt IPS screen option too. Highly recommend, although you might...

    ios 4.3.4

It only closes a jailbreak hole though, doesn't it? Or are there new features? S

    Transferring Photos to iPad

^I'm using Dropbox the the ipad too - works pretty well and avoids having to organise everything via iTunes. It also allows you to store different file types together, eg photos and pdfs, etc. And it's free! (for up to 2GB IIRC) S

    Cameras Without Viewfinders

You just can't beat a decent viewfinder. Unfortunately the viewfinders in the P&S cameras I have have been a joke, but I'm sure 99% of people use the screen instead. I must admit my P&S aren't high-end ones though. S

    400d to 7d? Any tips?

Handling will be the first thing you notice and try and have a proper play with them all - you might be surprised. I was choosing between 60D/50D/7D a while ago and they were all quite different. For my purposes image quality will not be noticeably different I'm sure. S

Using 450D for weddings with L glass?

Agree totally. Having moved to a 50D not long ago this is good advice. Unless you need video. It handles really nicely and certainly a lot better than the 60D in this respect in my opintion. And you still get the vignetting correction built in. S

Do you keep .raw files once youve edited?

Keep, keep, keep! File them away neatly so that you can find things easily in the future, e.g. in dated directories with brief text, like "110613 wedding of ......" , and then they'll be sorted in date order too. If you need more storage then just but an extra HDD. Hope this helps, S

I am looking to buy a smaller camera - but which one....

I believe the Canon Powershot S90 and S95 are supposed to be very good, and for your usage it might be best to stay as compact as possible. Around £300-400. You'll also be more familiar with these as a long-term Canon user. Hope this helps. S

    Canon 40D / 50D / 60D / 5D ?

Make sure you spend some time handling the bodies, as I think that's often the biggest practical difference between them (aside from FF vs cropped). I waited for a 60D then didn't like the handling when it came out and I tried it, so I bought a 50D instead. It's a personal thing. That's...

Impressive resource! Nice that it includes FF and cropped versions. S

    Lens Repair

I have the same lens and haven't had problems with it, although I wouldn't say it's the sharpest thing available. If you already know that it has been dropped then you could have it looked at by someone like Fixation if you're worried about it. Otherwise you're going to spend all your time...
