I'll second the Fuji S1500 - I recently bought one for my son - I'm really impressed with it.
I've seen a few places doing it for £130 - that should leave with enough for a decent case and card
A local camera shop were doing 430EXs at £100 - I'm not sure if they have any left but they are based in Royal Arcade Cardiff - I think they are called Cameraland - might be worth a google and a phone call
After a lot of deliberating I've just bought a G9 - immaculate condition, 6month shop warranty, all the bits including an ever ready case for £200 - at that price I won't feel too bad if I decide I need to go back to a DSLR!
Can anyone recommend a flash unit for it?- Speedlights are an...
20mm enough of a difference to make carrying easier - I'm no longer interested in carrying a DSLR around and am split between a GF1 and a G11 - a shorter zoom lens on the GF1 would be a clincher
is anyone using a GF1 with the Olympus 14-42 zoom?- I am really tempted with a GF1 but with the Panasonic zoom it'll be awkward to carry - the olympus zoom seems to be a lot shorter
A few of my local camera shops have Canon G9s that I think were p/ex in for G11s.
The ones I've seen are in excellent condition, come with all the bits and are up for £220-£260 with a 6month shop warranty.
I was about to buy a G11 but am still not sure about DSLR so I'm wondering about "making...
Just about decided on a Canon over the LX3 - the G11 seems to be @£400 wheras very good G9s seem to be about £250.
I've ruled out a G10 because of the minimal price difference with a G11 but I am wondering if saving £150 is worth it?
I had an email from him yesterday after I asked about VAT/duty etc - sounds like he just puts the item as a gift and declares a low value - as far as I'm concerned it's not worth the risk
The GF1 looks very nice but I can't justify the cost I'm afraid - I decided to get rid of my SLR kit because I don't use it enough to justify the cost - the GF1 would make it even worse!
Having decided to sell my KM/Sony DSLR kit I can't seem to make up my mind bewteen the Canon and the Panasonic .
I love the idea of the fast lens on the LX3 but I'm not sure if I could cope with the small zoom the Canon seems to tick all of the boxes but is it going to deliver the same quality...
thanks - I did notice the VAT/duty issue.
I gan't believe the different prices I've seen though - one local camera shop wanted £560, another £460 with a 4GB card and then there are the Ebay prices!
