My Chroma Click - impressions and review

Thanks a lot for your thoughts and post, I really appreciate it and am glad you like your Click. It's been a passion project of mine to design and manufacture a complete camera from end to end so it's really great to see that the considerable amount of time I've put in to finalising the design...

Apologies for the compression quality. I've had to resize to below 500Kb to upload! Link to original PDF here - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qazh5r0njmjuub60nfij9/TPS2026Floorplan6thMarch.pdf?rlkey=ggasvjdckj71r9pnz6fb3dkbs&st=vbf539mn&dl=0

    5x4 Negative

The only issue with using a digital camera to photograph the negative is sensor size. You will either need to have your camera further back from the negative (depending on the lens you're using) and crop as a single frame or take multiple images and combine them in Photoshop etc. Combining...

    Photography show floor plan 2026

I've just heard back from the Organisers, the floorpan will be included with the free show guide that is available on the day. They did send me a copy but I'm just waiting to hear back to make sure they're ok with me sharing it. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be but will share it here as soon as...

    Photography show floor plan 2026

I've just asked one of the organisers if there is a floorplan available. They've always been published before so it would be odd to omit it this year.

The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

As per the post above, I released the Click as a very small volume (50 cameras) “passion project” in December. I’ve always wanted to design and build a complete camera from the ground up, which is where the Click came from. The Double Glass lens optics were originally designed and manufactured...

The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

As someone who builds new cameras for customers I've got to give you all credit for being willing to accept 'flexible' frame spacing and lost frames on a brand new camera that costs £500. Whilst I obviously applaud Lomography for bringing something brand new to market, rather than yet another...

Official Chroma Camera Thread - All questions/suggestions/feedback appreciated

Hi. I haven’t seen any updates from Intrepid about their shutter for a while but it’s designed around a standard Copal mount (1 I think) so there’s no reason why it couldn’t be used on my cameras.

    Film Holders

If the holder isn’t light tight it doesn’t matter if the bag is. You have to take the holder out of the bag to load it and your film will be impacted as soon as you do. The tape for film holders is normally book-binding style, but duct tape will be just as effective. It’s basically a hinge...

    Film Holders

No, they're light tight themselves so just keep the dark slides loaded and put them in your bag.

Have to excuse the dust but I scanned the 6x7 roll today and am really happy with the results. Fomopan 100, developed in 510Pyro. All handheld, generally 1/30th at F11.

Oh yeah, I’ve got 6x7 images :0) Managed to squeeze 11.5 images from the roll too so I’m really happy with the frame spacing Excuse the low quality phone photos/inversions, I was keen to check the edges and sharpness. I’ll scan them tomorrow but they look pretty sharp so far. Fomopan 100...

    5x4 Negatives

Maybe start with just getting used to the new system, loading film, remembering to close the shutter before pulling the darkslide (everyone makes that mistake at least once!), developing sheet and scanning them before trying out lots of different methods. Large format is equal parts frustration...
