More precisely Mini Pocket Wizards - MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 for Canon

    Wireless recievers/transmitters and transcievers

We bought a load of Pocket Wizards but regret it to be honest. They do have ETTL but we never use it. If you can get something that lets you up and down power from camera, that's all you need. We rarely use speedlites on location now. We almost always use our Elinchrom Ranger Quadra's which...

    Which Flashgun For Canon 5d

430 is a great flash, but the 580 is so much better. ...if you only have one flash you won't be able to get it off camera if you need flash as main light. That means you'll need to do more bouncing and it is really good to have the extra power that the 580 gives because of the extra distances...

    Wedding - HELP!!!!

Kiki Sadly I agree...weddings are portraiture at a million miles an hour with the wrong light...and getting it wrong isn't an option. I have very good friends who are awesome wildlife photographers and they say they have done weddings for their friends and bitterly regretted it. Good luck Steve

    Anyone using "Animoto".....?

Why can't I learn about photography?

Hi Astraeus I agree, I think you trying to take on so much all at once it would make anybody's mind go into overwhelm. Try and pick once aspect of photography at a time and get really good at it until it is natural for you. Then pick another. Have you tried Scott Kelby's THE DIGITAL...

Hi Andy We're not far from Portsmouth. Lots of local league football around. Wildlife and sports needs some pretty long glass and can get quite expensive. Enjoy Steve

    Different methods of exposure

I'm with EOS_JD and AliB Incident light meter and shoot in Manual. For many lighting situations this is less prone to error that fiddling around trying to estimate and second guess how much by the reflective meter is getting it wrong. Of course I will stop and stop down from the incident light...

    Different methods of exposure

All internal camera light meters get confused in some situations. Internal light meters assume that, on average, the average value of all the pixels in your picture is 18% grey. Whenever this is not the case (like when shooting a white wedding dress), light meters mess up. You have three...
