    WHICH DELIVERY COMPANY

Would appreciate advice about which company sellers have used when selling cameras. Most either show cameras as not deliverable or will not offer any compensation. Any thoughts?

EPSON PRINTER WILL NOT TURN ON. PROBLEM NOW SORTED

Weird indeed. Just popped back to printer and it’s now ready to print! Only thing I can think of is that after reply from g4aww I went into print dialogue. It showed print job error. I clicked on “clear”. Nothing happened straightaway but now resolved. Hopefully won’t recur

EPSON PRINTER WILL NOT TURN ON. PROBLEM NOW SORTED

Thanks. Have tried that. When I press on switch for 10 seconds nothing happens until I let go when light comes on but then gets stuck as described. Weird indeed.

EPSON PRINTER WILL NOT TURN ON. PROBLEM NOW SORTED

I have an Epson Stylus Pro 3880. It was working fine this afternoon. Now it won’t turn on. The light comes on so power connection ok but then continues to “whir” and never fully ready. Similarly when I try to turn it off it takes for ever. Any thoughts appreciated.

Enjoy. Heading there in early February and trying to decide if we should pre book accomodation or if it will be possible to book in as we travel allowing for maximum flexibilty to stop where we want for as long as we want and follow the weather. Anybody any experience? Advice appreciated.

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

Ouch!! Nasty. That little screw you mention is probably the "stop screw" I referred to which Nikon told me about and which I didn't know existed. Have checked my lenses and all intact and lens does not move when attached to camera.

No; but intrigued - why did you ask about this particular lens?

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

No; all lenses are fairly new AF lenses.

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

Once again thanks for all the comments. The mirror was locked up, but this was not the root problem. The aperture lever had been damaged. It was thought this might be due to a missing stop screw on the lens, but all lenses are OK, so not sure why this has happened. The service from Nikon has...

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

Correct Yvonne, have looked inside and mirror is in up position. D700 is good in poor light but not as good asD4, particularly when needing to go to ISO 4000, for birds in flight in very grey conditions.

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

Thanks for all the responses. I have tried everything suggested. I am sure the problem is that the mirror is locked up, and as Ken says "it's off to a repair shop" on Wednesday. Will try to remember to post an update when it is sorted.

D4 Problem (resolved with thanks to Nikon)

Thanks for replies. Firmware "A 1.05 B 1.03 L 1.006". Am fairly certain this is latest version. Had highlights and histogram showing in Playback, but after an internet search turned these off, but did not resolve problem. SanDisk Extreme III CF memory cards. Any further thoughts?
