Been taking 'snaps' for 50 years but a beginner at 'serious' photography. Not even that, really - I just fancy dipping my toe into a new hobby. I'm reading much and trying to resist spending (wasting!) lots of money on gear which I might not use! Quite serious about having a go, though. My photos over the years are merely personal records of historical events and places. I'd like to have a go at creating some of more substance - does that make sense?
