You could try a fader ND to start with, there are cheap FOTGA brand ones on ebay that won't break the bank as you get your head around what you need for serious ND work before you fork out big money for a Big Stopper.
In case any one was following this conundrum, I came across a solution. It appears to be related to aperture.

I don't think so. The 160 simply has a pass-through circuit to allow another connected 320 or 480 to be dimmed using the dimmer of the 320/480 connected to other side. The 160 doesn't dim at all.

Thanks Dave - yeh, the logo is easy enough to redraw as vector. I disagree with the font though, it's not the same at all (see attached). I have found one close though (Malgun Gothic) :)
Macs use 72dpi and Windows use 96dpi screen scaling. Has nothing to do with the video system or printing, was related to fonts.

I use MEP 2013. I find it very good for short projects. But it does bog down quickly with larger projects. (6-core Phenom machine 16Gb ram)
But I use it mostly for .MTS files directly from my Panasonic HiDef camcorder which take a bit more grunt to deal with than h.264 .MOV files from dslrs
