ND Filters - What do I need to get?

Yes, I now see this after looking in the source code - not impressed with this. I also see in post#1 that the words 'this set' have been linked to an ebay seller's offerings. That's rather random.. Guess this isn't my kind of forum. Affiliate ads are one thing, but I don't want my words to be...

ND Filters - What do I need to get?

What is responsible for automatically creating the links in my post #2???

ND Filters - What do I need to get?

You could try a fader ND to start with, there are cheap FOTGA brand ones on ebay that won't break the bank as you get your head around what you need for serious ND work before you fork out big money for a Big Stopper.

    Pentax K-50 Movie mode question

In case any one was following this conundrum, I came across a solution. It appears to be related to aperture. For reasons only known to Pentax engineers, the shutter/mirror flip on start rec and stop rec does not happen with the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8. when the aperture is set to F4 Any other...

Does the Mecalight 160 power share with the 320?

I don't think so. The 160 simply has a pass-through circuit to allow another connected 320 or 480 to be dimmed using the dimmer of the 320/480 connected to other side. The 160 doesn't dim at all. See Blunty's review and demo here ►

    Pentax K-50 Movie mode question

When using the K-50's movie mode I'm finding that when I press the shutter release to start recording the mirror flips up again and the shutter opens, then when I press the shutter release to stop recording it flips down and up again. This makes no sense to me as it's already flipped up when...

I've had a dabble with time lapse and I can appreciate the work that has gone into that, Dave. Epic really - well done.

    Info Show us your baubles!

Thanks Dave - yeh, the logo is easy enough to redraw as vector. I disagree with the font though, it's not the same at all (see attached). I have found one close though (Malgun Gothic) :)

Can you post the vector version rather than having to work with a raster?

Does PPI affect how the image looks on screen?

Errr.. That's EXACTLY what the article is trying to get people to understand. Maybe you didn't read it all? Dunno. But that's the point.

Magix movie editor pro any good?

If you can run APE you can run MEP without a problem, it runs better than APE.

Does PPI affect how the image looks on screen?

Macs use 72dpi and Windows use 96dpi screen scaling. Has nothing to do with the video system or printing, was related to fonts. Here's a great article for the OP to read ► http://www.scantips.com/no72dpi.html

Magix movie editor pro any good?

I use MEP 2013. I find it very good for short projects. But it does bog down quickly with larger projects. (6-core Phenom machine 16Gb ram) But I use it mostly for .MTS files directly from my Panasonic HiDef camcorder which take a bit more grunt to deal with than h.264 .MOV files from dslrs

    Video Editing software

+1 Works well with .MTS from my Pano' SD700 - if not, use Handbrake to transcode first.
