Hi can anyone help...
I would like to get my Nikon D80 hooked up to my laptop, to remotely trigger the camera and view what I have taken. I am know there is software on the market but I would like to try and find something that is free to download, reliable and not too intense to use.
Think the moral is read the T&C's and to know it's managed by a reputable company or organisation and learn as you grow in experience. I entered and won a slot in my local council's calander with the proceeds being donated to charity, they stated they would only use the image in the calendar...
I use a Lowepro Rezo 170 and put it in to a normal rucksack it gives it a little more protection and really doesn't impead access too much, I can also take it out and put it in a shoulder bag. The main reason I do this is that it doesn't look like your carrying expensive camera equipment around...
I was in the same situation but opted for the D80 because it was quite a bit cheaper, the D200 is whether sealed and is probably more durable too, however I purchased two lenses as well as the D80 for the price of a D200 body.
I have tried lots of mags but I have settled down to Outdoor Photography, it's the only mag I find so interesting I read it from cover to cover, it has great articles and interviews.
I always have a UV filter on my lens until I have mounted the camera on a tripod or comfortably set up. Then I just unscrew the filter to take the shot, I don't think there's a right or wrong decision, it really depends on the conditions and environment your setting up in.
