    Handy function that doen't exist

Sorry, off topic, but it's a bugbear. Dave, Simon - time plods on and technology improves! It's a good thing. To suggest that sat nav, spreadsheets and automatic settings on cameras has stopped people 'thinking for themselves' or 'HAVING A BRAIN AND BEING ABLE TO USE IT' is desperately...

    Google Chrome - Impressive

I've been using it for 6 months or so now and absolutely love it. One issue is that some websites don't render properly - i.e. they look a bit weird as the developers have not taken Chrome into account. That said with all the advertising they're doing for it at the moment I'd imaging people will...

Hyperphotography by Jean-Francois Rauzier - This really is something else!

WOW! I wonder how many hours have gone into each photo. Just beautiful.

    windows 7 godmode

hmmm - I fear that if I tinkered around in there then before too long my computer may become a very costly brick....

    Lay off the police!

with respect, as the husband of a bobby, you're not impartial either! I was threatened with confiscation of equipment and arrest for photographing a London bus. Bloody joke. I think the police, and government as a whole, need a reminder that we are not their property.

    Some sense from Brussels?

At last it sounds as though someone is on our side where stop/search/arrest-for-terrorism is concerned! http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/jan/12/euorpean-court-police-misuse-stop-search?CMP=AFCYAH

    website advice

Wordpress is superb but you need to be fairly technically literate to make full use of it. Mr Site is a good one if you want a simple interface

    Tossing. Would you? Could you?

Haha - fact. Some interesting shots definitely, but would it be right to feel any pride in creating them!? Not much skill involved.

    critique on my website

The 'my work' page doesn't really do you any favours at the moment - a tiny mobile phone image of your photo doesn't do them justice. If you are looking at selling to businesses then perhaps changing the name to 'clients' and a descriptive paragraph at the top would work better. Also, if you...

    New photographer after advice

55-250 IS works well - you want more that 200mm for motorsport unless you're in the press pit! I'd also recommend checking out the 50mm f/1.8 from Canon for shots of friends & family - superb lens for well under £100

    Nifty 50 - Noobish question

This is one of the best value lenses on the market in my opinion - it takes great face portraits and can be used on full body shots in a large enough studio. My only complains is that it's not overly sturdy - I'm on my second after dropping the first from a chair and it broke in two!

    London photographers?

I thought I'd posted this yesterday but I may have been pre-coffee and instead of clicking 'sumbit' I could have 'wandered off'. Hey ho. I'm looking for anyone in London who'd like to get involved with a very informal photography club. The idea is to all meet up once a month to shoot in a...
