A bit more light and a lot more headaches...

This is what I do but at 1.8 the DoP is tiny and my 10 month old moves out of the focus at a seconds notice! When it's bang on though its great and the bokeh is lovely.

Went to Dinton Pastures in Winnersh yesterday. Some good wildlife if that's your thing. I got some good waterscapes but the lighting was crap, HDR to the rescue! Might pop along to the camera club then- or shall we form our own at the pub?!?

Could be too large an aperture for what you're shooting? Need an example photo with EXIF data to be sure...

Thanks Brian very interesting. It's not always about spending money on glass then, worth investing in a new body every so often!

Just bought a 40D body only and looking for a simple bit of glass for it.

Personally I use Flickr but its a matter of personal preference.
