Canon Extension Tube EF25 II autofocus?

I bought the Canon Extension Tube EF25 II which arrived yesterday. I put it on my Canon 60d together with my 50mm 1.4 lens. Then I tried to take photos with the autofocus on and no matter what distance I tried it would not focus or take a photo. Then I put it on manual and when I focused very...

    Which one is better? 17-55mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/1.8

I just had a look at the lens you bought Bobby and it´s actually not that expensive, but it starts at f/4 doesn´t it? I´d rather have one which has the option to let more light in. So don´t think that is an option for me, but thanks for mentioning it.

    Which one is better? 17-55mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/1.8

Hello, I just thought about it and it doesn´t matter to me if it could also be used on ff or not. The only other thing I just read was. The Sigma 18-35mm has no image stabilization and the Canon 17-55mm has it? Is that right? And if yes does that make a big difference?

    Which one is better? 17-55mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/1.8

Thanks for all the comments so far. I didn´t even consider or notice the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8 before. Now that I know about it, it does really look good to me, just a bit more expensive than the 17-55mm although I saw it in an online shop for even cheaper than that. Now I´m torn, too. Can the...

    Which one is better? 17-55mm f/2.8 or 28mm f/1.8

Hello, I need your opinion as I´m not sure which lens to buy next. I have the Canon EOS 60d and the Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS which came with the camera and then the 50mm f/1.4 At the moment I mainly take photos of newborns for which the 50mm is great, only in very small rooms I get...

Is there any point to 30x optical zooms?

Hi, I´ve got a Canon Powershot SX40 HS which I used before I bought my dslr camera. And I bought it because of that zoom and thought it was great. I mainly used it to take photos in zoo´s where the animals where far away and even handheld it was taking great photos. At the beginning of using my...

    diffusers for flash

Thanks for your reply. But to come back to question, none of those is any good then? If I want to take indoor pictures of my baby? Or other children indoors?

    diffusers for flash

Hello, I´ve no idea about flashes. I´m thinking of getting the Canon Speedlite 430EX II for my Canon EOS 60d. I want to photograph newborns, mostly in natural light, but was thinking of what to do if there isn´t enough light. Is any of the following items useful and if yes which one of them is...

Asian model of camera any good?

Thanks for your reply. Yes in Hdew the camera was the same price as in any other shop here in the uk, just with a longer warranty. But I realised that they only give you 1 year warranty on the lenses and also you pay for shipping, as well. Panamoz way way cheaper and has more warranty on...

Asian model of camera any good?

Yes I was looking at digital rev and yes they offer 1 year guarantee. So the camera itself is no difference then I guess. Just sometimes the issue of no warranty. Will have a look at Panamoz, thanks for replys.

Asian model of camera any good?

Hello, I´m just about to buy my first dsrl camera. I´m going for the Canon EOS 60d. While I was comparing prices I realised that there are huge differences between the shops. Some shops say that they are selling the Asian version of the camera. What does it mean? Is it still the same...
