Could anyone please advise me on depth of field. I have a Sony A300 and am using the Sony 18-70 mm lens F2.4. I am setting my f stop to its lowest but still not getting the blurring effect i am after.All be it i have not printed any yet.

I purchased the book over the weekend after advice from people on here. I find it an excellent book very easy to understand been new to photography i am sure this will help me no end.
I have recently purchased a Sony Alpha A300 and was fancying a 50mmF1.4 lens when i priced it up in jessups at £220 the salesman commented that nikon had just introduced a similar lens that retails at around £90.
I then got to thinking when looking at lenses on e bay i have seen lens adaptors...
I am happy with the blurry feature, thanks tao assistance from people on here the other day. But am still tring to grasp how to adjuct the position in shot of the focus point.
I think i may try to man focus on an object and then do a recomposition for the photo when main image is in focus...

So focus on the object in the centre then move the camera to obtain the image composition required before taking shot. I cann't believe it sounds so simple and obvious i should have thought of it. But hey i am still playing:bonk:
