Have two pairs of zamberlan boots, I'm find it difficult to get boots to fit, and though not cheap they are super comfy.

Decided against buying an xf1 after all, due solely to the lend error. I think apart from that its a great compact. If anyone is interested, some of the curry's PC world are selling off there last stocknin store only for £90, with a 3 yr warranty for an extra £25 quid. Hope it helps someone.

Thanks, I've had a look at the X30, its too large for what my gf is after, but its a very nice camera, if I didnt already have a DSLR I'd be tempted. The 3yr warranty on the xf1 was an extra cost from the retailer, but the camera was heavily discounted. I think I'll do a bit of reading up first...

Is a xf1 brand new with a 3 yr warranty a good buy? Gf wants a compact that can fit in coat pocket, and apart from lens issue was quite tempted by the xf1.

I'm more into Pentax myself, for about £530 atm you could get a k50 DSLR and a 18-135mm weather sealed lens and body. Has 2 control wheels compared to most systems 1. I quite like the look of the panasonic gx7 as a travel camera though.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought Mike, be interesting to see if they mention the new lenses, if they promote them as being FF compatible. Thought with the SRS prices atm though, there might have been an updated K3 coming?
