I've been dithering between the Canon M56 and Panasonic V700 recently (camcorders). Similar prices and each with £50 cashback offers at the moment. I had decided to buy the V700 as it had a wider angle lens, but then saw the Lightning Deal on the M56 and a saving of £100 was too much to resist...

There's no other reason is there? L lenses are the same as non-L, it's just the price and that little red ring that differs.

What sort of warranty will any repair work come with? I'd want a new replacement, but if that was unobtainable I'd want the repaired camera to have a fresh one year warranty. Push for the new replacement.
