Could I ask for some Milky way advice please :)

Hi all I'm heading to the Kingdom of Fife for the May bank holiday, and figure this is as good a chance I'll get this year of being away from light pollution and attempting a Milky Way shot! This is something I've never attempted before. I've been spending a bit of time looking at light...

    What Courier Service

I've worked in logistics for years, you would be surprised at how many touch points your parcel will have as it travels through a logistics network. Wrap it impeccably and use twice as much packing as you think is necessary, label your parcel clearly and ensure it can't come off, your customer...

Beginner Canon EOS 1000D from CashCoverters!

I started on that camera and it's a great starter, only thing I'd add to the above is check that the lens (assuming it's the 18-55 kit lens) is the IS version (Image Stabilisation) as it's far superior to the older non-IS lens

Movies you watch again and again.

True Romance. What a film. Written by Tarantino, Directed by Tony Scott. An amazing cast of top drawer actors including the late great James Gandolfini. Immensely quotable, fantastically acted, and of course, that scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken. Cinematic perfection :)

    Beginner Shallow Depth of Field

This is one of the clearest ways I've seen of explaining aperture and how it effects depth of field in an image :)

South-East England London trip itinerary. Is this doable?

Distractions will be your enemy! If you go to St Katherine's Dock make sure to go to the other side of the river to Shad Thames, then you'll more than likely end on Tower bridge admiring the views of The Tower of London, Shard & City Hall etc. and the walk along the south bank from Tower Bridge...

Cheapest Cloud Storage ? Onedrive etc

I also use onedrive and pay for the additional storage too, it's always been rock solid for me and the price is extremely wallet friendly! My monthly fee is only 50p though? Although I have one of the original accounts where you used to get 25gig, maybe that's why? 2 quid a month is still...

    London Tripod rules, London

Likewise, I was there Monday evening from half six until midnight, in a group of over ten people and we were able to shoot all around Westminster, Blackfriars & Tower Bridge freely. Every time I've been to Tower Bridge I've seen lots of people doing the same. The only place I know about where...

New to the forum - Hi from Northampton!

Hi all - signed up yesterday, had bit of a poke around, thought I'd better say hi :) You seem to have good community here and I look forward to taking part. I've been shooting for a few years now, purely a hobbyist and on my second Canon in the form of a 60D, oh and an.......assortment of kit...
