I'm giving this another go. I didn't get very far last year as I had to move house twice in quick succession and haven't picked up my camera for months. This seems like a good way to get started again :)
I really need to get back into photography again.
I've been absent form this forum since spring, alot of things have happened this year - had to move house twice, work got really busy - and I've hardly used my camera. In fact I have photos I took in March that I haven't even taken off my camera...
I drive a modified Skoda :)
I've also modified furniture before - mainly to give it a 'distressed' and 'blue' appearance.
I also modify clothes quite often because the jeans I buy are usually too long.
I'm just having lots of long weekends this year instead of a proper holiday. It means I get to go away more often.
I've already been away twice - Tain (north of Inverness a bit) in Feb, and Bristol / Cotswolds 2 weeks ago.
I'm planning to head to a few motorsport events over summer (not...
Excellent.
I'm a consutant ecologist / wildlife surveyor :)
I mainly do surveys on behalf of developers (eg housing, roads, energy companies etc) and tell them where they can and can't build stuff.
Right ... I'm back this week! I still haven't done a picture for Chemistry or Play (I've moved house though and the only thing I've done with my camera in the past week is move it from a box to a cupboard!)
This week's challenge could be fun ...
My shot for week 9 will be late ... I've had a chaotic weekend, and hardly had time to think about photography at all! I'll aim to get my picture this week, along with week 10, and maybe even 'Chopped' because I still haven't done that either!
I think I prefer the desaturated version over the b&w, for the same reasons as you do - I prefer it with a bit of background colour. I do like this shot, I like the angle you've used along the blade, as it's not the usual image you tend to see of a hedgetrimmer and it's made it look alot more...
Yes...
First car: The Viper
Second car: Shelby
Third car: RJ
Sadly, cars 1 and 2 weren't as exciting as the names make them sound (Metro and Clio respectively). My current car is a Fabia vRS.
Hi Sarah, thanks for the comments :)
I agree about the colours in the People edit. As I've said I don't do alot of PP so it's all new to me but I'm going to keep having attempts at it. I'm glad you like the idea though :)
Thanks for the comments about the Mechanical shot too: I actualy...
