If you could shoot any motorsport event...

Mines more of a bucket list than a singular event... - WRC. I'd love to do them all...but Sweden, Finland, Australia and Monte Carlo stand out. - Gulf 12 Hours. Photogenic cars and circuit, sounds like a win-win to me. - Bathurst 12H - Thunderhill 25 Hours. Looks an amazing circuit - NASCAR...

MSV Photo of the Year 2013

I'm guessing yours was FP1 at Snetterton then just like mine then? ;) Probably not my finest photo of the year really. But due to the rules I decided I didn't want to give them my all-time favourite shot (from their circuits anyway) as I've sold it to a few people and can't see why MSV should...

    Motorsport photography websites

For those who are vaguely interested this is mine - www.adampigott.co.uk As others, mine is based on Wordpress but has been tinkered with by the clever chaps at my day job to make it work how I wanted.

The old 'Silverstone isn't very good from spectator side' ruse: still true?

I'm not a regular to Silverstone but.... I always stand behind the barrier I'm supposed to be behind as a spectator. I know loads of people decided to go up against the chain link fence in some areas at BritCar but it's not particularly neccessary and it's there for a reason at the end of...

The old 'Silverstone isn't very good from spectator side' ruse: still true?

To be fair, as soon as I saw a media person lying down near the armco I figured it was probably you! Personally, I don't feel so comfortable about lying down whilst being trackside at the moment, whether it's because I'm being too cautious as I'm new to the whole 'nothing but armco...

The old 'Silverstone isn't very good from spectator side' ruse: still true?

I'm afraid I agree with both Jake and Nate93, everyone whose shots have been mentioned (Richard, Myself, Coopers, S-Hodges) have posted thanking Jake for the honorable mention. Jake also credited all of us in a professional manner, so what's the issue exactly? Back on topic, nice to see...

    Motorsport Snappers Survey?

Interesting. I shoot RAW currently (I have a 350D, the files don't take up that much space), just because I feel I have a bit more control. But reading through this I get the impression I should be switching to JPEG? When it comes to my editing of the RAW, I find that I pick the the best ones...

The old 'Silverstone isn't very good from spectator side' ruse: still true?

Thanks for the honorable mention, I appreciate it. And yes, my shot through the grandstand isn't amazing compared to others, I think I picked thickest barred grandstand out there! :) I'm also fully behind the idea of this thread! I've never understood the 'Silverstone Hate', it was unjustified...

How many shots do you take at events?

See this is something I'm not sure about too, I generally seem to be taking more than what I did last year. But at the same time I'm keeping a lot more of photographs that I'm taking in comparison to last year and I also move around the circuit a lot more.

    Silverstone viewpoints..?

Have to agree, I never find the problem with Silverstone being the distance from the track if I'm honest. The fences are difficult to deal with, but it can be done. Just use them as a compositional element, and there are gaps in places! In terms of lens length, I managed to cope with GT1, and...

    Silverstone viewpoints..?

I'm going to cheekily plug my guide I just wrote for Silverstone and designed (not official by the way, was made for a friend), again based off my previous visit's to Silverstone. Hopefully it'll be helpful to those who are going. Check it out: http://issuu.com/speedster502/docs/silverstoneguide

    Photoshoot locations in Lincolnshire

Theres a place called Kirkstead Abbey which is quite photogenic, I'm sure you could incorporate a car into it some how, not sure if you can drive all the way up to it though. If you go at a evening then it would look spectacular. :)
