Hey Guys!
I attempted to light paint using one of those fiber optic toys, as in having loads of strands of light rubbing against something.
I got the basic shape going but there is no clarity or sharpness!
This is what I am doing:
Put it on auto, press the shutter to halfway and wait...
Thanks I checked your tutorials on light trails and steel wool, great stuff there!
Would you be able to recommend some specific LED things that I would be able to purchase off Amazon in order to achieve some of this? Thanks.

What I want to do is do the "basic" light painting, something like this:
Some slightly more complex things like this:
and the orb stuff like this:
I already know what you need for the steel wool photography
Not too sure but you know how on the left hand side it shows sources like eg. SD Card, my documents, my pictures, external etc.
The NAS shows up in the same manner, so theoretically you should be able to do that.
Hey guys!
Could you give me a quick overview of the different kind of things I need to do in order to do light painting.
Amazon links would be great too!
Also can lasers be damaging to the DSLR?
Many Thanks
Yep. Let me use my own case as an example.
I have the Netgear Stora NAS. There are 2 1TB hard drives in there, configured in RAID so that one of the hard drives is a backup of the other hard drive - essentially the backup of the backup (instead you could just have it set normally)
I can then...
Hey!
I've got the 2013 27 inch iMac with 8GBs of RAM and even with that I've found myself coming across scenarios where my computer slows down when I'm editing RAW files sometimes.
Especially when using Colour Strokes to edit RAW files.
Just wondering how much RAM you guys have?
What you are talking about is a NAS which stands for Network Access Storage.
You can put in more than one hard drive, configure whatever RAID you want and then you plug it in to your router via ethernet.
Then on all your computers connected to that router you can access the files and copy to...
In your final GCSE piece how many photos did you have?
Did you have to write a short commentary?
The art gcse exam is 10 hours long! Obviously we shoot the photos outside of school so we have 10 hours to edit our photos!
Is it really boring? The editing would be done within like 3 hours?
Thanks.
