Just to reinforce what has been said by DucDuc, it is better to format the card after downloading images than to simply delete them. Deleting does not remove them from the card, but simply deletes the pointer to the files. While files will be overwritten, there will still be remnants of data...

My wife has a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W70, which although has now been replaced, is a really neat compact and has a decent optical viewfinder. Might be worth checking out the newer models.

As far as I can see, their diagram of "light fields" is simply how a lens captures the light from an object and focusses on the film/sensor. Their images show a VERY narrow dof. If they were really offering something new, then from their spiel I would have expected the images to be ultra sharp...

Have you had a look at the performance settings in Edit > Preferences > Performance?

I would have thought that an image like that would better be saved as a GIF. If you're using Photoshop and "Save for web", then your problem would have been solved anyway.

There's a very simple answer - shoot in RAW and forget about colour temperature on the camera, simply adjust the colour temp in the editing stage.

I have to disagree most strongly with your comment re the quality of "close-up filters". - actually supplementary close-up lenses (SCLs). By using good quality SCLs - especially achromatic ones, the quality will be better than using extension rings, because the light path through the lens...
