    SWPP Trade Show 2013

So did anyone go today and pick up a deal anything? How about the 5DIII what sort of price were they on offer for? I am thinking of picking one up at Focus but with Jacobs no longer about I'm not sure the prices will be as keen. Cheapest online now about £2300.

    laminating pictures

If you are talking about traditional glossy photos then you need a heated roller type laminator, not a much cheaper hot plate laminator.

    The Press

They should be paying you a minimum of £20 a picture as well, so don’t accept any of this we’ll give you £20 for the lot AND your name in the paper rubbish, like they are doing you a favour. Unfortunately nowadays there are too many people who seem happy to have their images...

    Camera shops in Hong Kong

Another vote here for Broadway. I went to HK last year and spent ages going around all these different stores that I had researched on the web. In the end I bought from Broadway as they are a huge chain, were very competitive on price and I basically trusted that it was genuine HK stock, with a...

    Anyone done Route 66 ?

I’ve been on a small part of it around Flagstaff/ Williams town etc. You will know when you are on the original road because it is full of cracks and rough as anything.

How surf photographer broke mould - BBC

And would make quite a dent in the quote: "For a surfing photographer, equipment alone can cost up to £5,000".

Need to get the camera up high, suggestions appreciated.

JumboBeef makes some good points. A couple of years ago I was quite keen on getting into aerial photography as a side-line to my normal business. All the homemade pole ideas are all well and good but a fibreglass or aluminium pole, with a camera on top gets pretty unstable and tricky to...

Arrrrgh I just dropped my camera :'(

That was honest of you not to add it to your equipment list and then claim a week later! I’ve dropped my 1DMkII twice! Once last year when it fell about 18 inches onto concrete. I was packing my gear away at the time and had already taken the hood off my 16-35 when it fell down and literally...

    1dmkIII tomorrow if i want...

:thinking:This is 100 percent the Canon official line that they have been telling dealers to pass onto customers. Believe it if you wish, but both have a vested interest convincing you of this. History tells us that a company like Canon would never admit it if there was a problem, but would...
