Thanks Lensflare, Yes the D90 will fire the SB 800, I really was trying to source a used unit something like an SB28 rather than buy the SB90, and I was hoping that someone may have some experience and be able to advise.

Can anyone help me? I have a Nikon SB800 & an SB600 and used them remotely with my D90, I want to add an additional speedlight into the setup purely for fill in when needed. I would prefer to purchase a secondhand unit but am not sure which models (if any) are compatible with Nikon CLS.:shrug:
